Top note #1 | Bergamot Citrus bergamia
Press down on the embossed Tri-Dosha mark atop our Kapha balancing shampoo and enjoy an illuminating burst of fresh, sweet citrus. Cold-pressed from Bergamot fruit peel, this oil makes for an ideal start to the morning and has long been used in Ayurveda to refresh, pacify and warm a cool, heavy and sluggish Kapha. Bergamot is also naturally rich in antioxidants, antimicrobials and fatty acids, which is why many trust in its protective, stimulating and enhancing qualities – helping protect the hair and scalp from oxidative stress while also revealing smoother, healthier and shiny hair.
Top note #2 | Eucalyptus Eucalyptus globulus
Alongside Bergamot is another reviving essential oil, Eucalyptus. Steam distilled from the leaves of this aromatic tree, this powerfully fresh and penetrating aroma swiftly helps clear a cluttered mind and restore positivity and vitality.
Middle note | Juniper Berry Juniperus communis
As the blend warms, fresher top notes give way to a deeper, woodier and almost pepper-like scent. Steam distilled from ripe Juniper berries, the resulting essential oil is believed to be one of the most powerful used in aromatherapy – renowned for its ability to bring clarity and strength to the mind, leaving you feeling exhilarated. What’s more, Juniper Berry Essential Oil is said to be a natural detoxifier which, when massaged into the scalp, excels at purifying and toning the scalp while boosting circulation – just what this hair type is looking for.
Base note | Frankincense Boswellia carterii
Warm, aromatic and sweet, our inclusion of Frankincense Essential Oil forms the perfect close to this bespoke blend. Derived from the resin of this tree’s bark, which is then steam distilled, Frankincense has long been highly regarded in Ayurveda for the optimism it bestows – warming and revitalising Kapha types, clearing fatigue, boosting their mood and once again restoring impeccable poise.
